Between Technology and Design
Romeo Rüsch was born in Basel and grew up in Basel and Pfeffingen. Early on, he developed a strong interest in the intersection of technology and design — two fields that continue to shape his professional work today.
His entry into the digital world began at a time when personal computers were only just emerging. Structured training paths in software development were hardly established. The necessary expertise was acquired through self-study — through technical literature, practical application and a consistent engagement with technical systems and architecture.
In his early years, he developed custom software and ERP solutions for companies. The focus was never on experimentation, but on robust, practical systems that delivered real value.
Founding of Bluesun AG in 1998
In December 1998, Romeo Rüsch co-founded Bluesun AG with three partners. The objective was clear: to guide companies into the digital world in a structured, technically sound and sustainable way.
With mybluesun, an in-house content management system was developed early on and continuously refined. What began as a web solution evolved into a stable platform for demanding digital projects.
Today, this foundation supports the development of individual websites and web-based applications — ranging from clearly structured corporate presences to complex system solutions with integrations and interfaces.
Beyond classical web development, the scope includes system integrations and the targeted implementation of modern AI technologies. These support structured content processing, multilingual publishing and data-driven processes. AI is not used for show, but deliberately to enhance quality, efficiency and long-term scalability.
All integrations are implemented in a controlled and data-compliant manner, with a strong focus on stability and maintainability — because digital substance is not created through trends, but through sound architecture and sustainable implementation.
Digital Presence as Entrepreneurial Substance
A website is not an end in itself. It determines how a company is perceived — whether competence becomes visible, whether trust is established and whether visitors turn into concrete enquiries. It is therefore a central leadership instrument in a company’s digital positioning.
Romeo Rüsch’s work focuses on:
- clear positioning
- strategic structure
- technical precision
- intuitive user guidance
- sustainable development
The goal is not a short-term relaunch, but a digital presence that reflects entrepreneurial substance and remains sustainable over time.
Photography as an Extension of Digital Quality
Alongside technological development, photography has been an integral part of his work for over 25 years. Particularly in corporate and architectural photography, the objective is to make substance visible — materials, spaces, people and performance presented with precision and clarity.
Photographic work complements digital development wherever visual quality is essential. Design and technology are not separate disciplines, but interlinked elements.

Responsibility and Continuity
Since 1998, Romeo Rüsch has stood for continuous, independent and technically grounded digital development. Collaboration is direct, personal and built on long-term perspective.
Bluesun is not an anonymous agency structure, but an independent platform for well-considered digital solutions with substance — characterised by direct responsibility and clear entrepreneurial conviction.
