Romeo Gustav Rüsch was born in Basel and grew up in both Basel and Pfeffingen.
From an early age, he discovered his passion for combining technology and creativity – an enthusiasm that would shape his professional path.
After a solid education in Basel, the canton of Baselland, and Estavayer-le-Lac in the canton of Fribourg, Romeo Rüsch found himself at the starting line just as the first personal computers were entering the market. Training programs? None. So he turned to the only available sources: technical books from the USA – devoured page by page, long before the internet was even accessible.
What began as a self-taught curiosity quickly became a professional passion. Through independent study, he acquired deep expertise in software development and soon created his first applications for wholesale companies. His ERP solutions were practical, robust, and often ahead of their time.
With pioneering spirit, perseverance, and a keen sense for technical innovation, Romeo Rüsch built a career as a developer and entrepreneur – at a time when you had to figure everything out yourself.
Pioneering the Web since 1998
In 1998, Romeo Rüsch founded Bluesun AG together with three partners. Even then, the company set new standards in the digital world. With mybluesun, Bluesun developed one of the first content management systems for the web – a revolutionary concept that made it much easier for companies to enter the World Wide Web.
Today, mybluesun is much more than a CMS. Under the leadership of Romeo Rüsch and his dedicated team of experts, tailored web-based solutions are created on this foundation. From modern websites to highly complex enterprise applications, Bluesun develops solutions that are precisely tailored to the clients’ needs and deliver lasting added value.
